My name is Amanda Asselta and I am nineteen years old. I was born and raised in the South New Jersey area, but am now residing in State College, PA. I am a sophomore at the University Park Campus at Penn State University, where I will major in photography.Photography has been my number one passion for the past three years. I first started taking photos at the age of 14 with a little Sony digital camera. I'd take pictures of bands at local rock concerts in my area, and got lots of great feedback about my photos. I never thought photography would be something I would pursue, especially since my whole life I thought I'd become a veterinarian.
With the amount of good feedback from the bands, I became inspired to study photography. At 15, I finally received my first professional camera and the rest was history.
I own two digital cameras- a Canon Rebel XTi and a Canon EOS 5D Mark II. I also have two film cameras as well- a Nikon FM and a new edition, a Hasselblad 501 CM. I have my own darkroom in which I develop black and white film.
